AWAL Participates as Technical Sponsor in National GIS Symposium in Saudi Arabia

AWAL IT Services, the leading IT services provider, has recently participated as the technical sponsor in the Seventh National GIS Symposium in Saudi Arabia that was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Dammam.
By participating in this event, AWAL highlighted its constant strive towards exploring the latest global technology trends, to further develop its services and improve effective communication with all specialized parties in the industry to promote the growth of the local IT industry.

Organized by the High Committee of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the Eastern Province, The Seventh National GIS Symposium in Saudi Arabia gathered stakeholders of the geospatial domain varying between academics, researchers, students among other industry specialists onto one platform for interaction, sharing and discussion on various topics such as collaboration on technologies and experiences gained.

The symposium intended to encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience in geospatial sciences among researchers, practitioners, and professionals within the country and abroad. The event also included a series of specialized workshops featuring top related topics, in addition to an exhibition showcasing latest industry related projects, products and technologies.

AWAL is a subsidiary of Saudi Telecom Group, and offers a range of services including consulting, managed IT solutions, building IT infrastructure and data centre services.
