HP Rolls Out Network Management Software

Technology giant HP has introduced an enhanced software offering, the Automated Network Management (ANM) 9.2 for converged infrastructure, to help clients keep up with constantly changing business demands.

This is through a delivery of an unified network-management platform that is efficient, automated and secure, said a statement from HP.

Enterprises and governments are tasked with delivering quality services, maintaining everyday operations management, and innovating whilespending less, it stated.

They also must minimize infrastructure complexity associated with the proliferation of cloud and virtualization technologies, as well as ensure their networks can support business-critical applications.

The new HP ANM 9.2 enables technology organizations to:
•Improve control with heterogeneous network support with management of fault, performance, availability, change and configuration automation.
•Increase visibility by providing IT executives a single view of how applications and the supporting network are helping meet critical enterprise objectives across hybrid IT environments.
•Reduce costs through better prioritization of existing and future infrastructure investments based on new KPIs specifically designed for network management.

The new offering also includes major enhancements to HP Network Node Manager i(NNMi), Network Automation, NNMi Performance and NNMi AdvancedSmart Plug-in add-on modules (iSPIs).

“As organizations introduce new technologies to their converged infrastructures, the need for a network-management blueprint for datacenters increases,” said Tayfun Topkoc, the regional director for HP Software, Middle East.

"The ANM software enables clients to increase network visibility and save costs like never before with a single solution that optimizes business decisions as well as IT investments," he added.
