Mubasher Integrates With Gemalto’s Strong Authentication Solution For E-Trading

Published Nov 17, 2009
Gemalto, the world leader in digital security, today announced that Mubasher™ has integrated with its Ezio strong authentication solution with their e-trading services. Mubasher is a leading provider of end-to-end brokerage solutions including notably market information services, trade routing and order management in the Middle-East. The company worked closely with Mubasher in integrating the Ezio solution into their e-trading platform. The integrated solution from Mubasher has already been deployed by Al Amin Trade, the first online securities trading broker in Oman.

Mubasher is rolling out this solution for Al Amin in order to comply with the latest security standards for e-trading that require e-brokerage companies to implement strong authentication technology. As part of the program, Al Amin’s investors authenticate themselves to the Mubasher e-trading platform using the Gemalto OTP token and trade online with increased security.

“Mubasher is market leader in Middle East and is rapidly expanding its footprint in the North Africa region. Al Amin, needed a flexible, scalable OTP solution to provide their customers with premium e-trading services,” commented Manjula Jayasinghe, Senior Executive, at Mubasher. “The Gemalto solution stood out as one of the most comprehensive OTP solution in terms of security, openness to standards, convenience, ease of integration and cost-effectiveness.”

“Gemalto is pleased to deliver a state-of-the-art digital security solution which supports Mubasher’s strategy to constantly enhance its e-finance offering,” added Cédric Collomb, Senior Vice-President, Identity and Access Management at Gemalto. “Partnering with a leading provider of e-trading services like Mubasher reflects our strong focus on addressing the market demand for higher security online.”

With this new contract, Gemalto is expanding its geographical presence in online services security, following deployments of secure Ezio solutions notably in China, France, Hungary, Nigeria, UK and US.
