Experience ‘Digital Home’ With Etisalat’s elife

In line with its promise of bringing the most advanced technology applications to the UAE; Etisalat is showcasing the future of the digital home through its much awaited eLife proposition. Currently being demonstrated at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai till 5th December, Etisalat customers can now experience a live Digital Home supported by eLife, to realize the numerous capabilities and unmatched potential of this offering.

Based on the advanced Fiber to the Home (FTTH) technology, eLife will provide high speed broadband Internet that will enable customers to enjoy multiple high bandwidth applications like Internet TV, online gaming and much more. Etisalat also aims to integrate these applications, to offer a single interface for landline, Internet and Television based services, providing a truly converged digital home experience to its customers. Etisalat currently connects over 500,000 homes in the UAE through FTTH.

In the first such ever showcase to the customers, Etisalat will conduct demo tours at the eLife stand that provides live simulation of customer’s homes. The tour will showcase how a customer premise, once connected through eLife becomes a converged digital home.

The living room showcases many upcoming innovations like the IPTV service on a HDTV screen, the Multimedia phone and high speed Internet streaming on laptop (Internet TV solution) while the kitchenette demonstrates multimedia phone capabilities with touch screen and handset and Wi-Fi radio. A simulated ‘’Teens Room’ has also been created for youngsters displaying online games with several games like Halo War.

In an especially designed spaceship like experimental download zone, customers will also be able to experience high speed music downloads, live streaming, video downloads, social networks, lifestyle programs, and news streams.

Etisalat is also displaying the home office concept that showcases Web TV, HD Phone, High speed Internet demonstration and Web radio. Besides an interesting showcase of services, Etisalat stand will also offer multiple opportunities to customers to participate in games and raffle draws that will be conducted on the stand every day.

Through this interactive road show, Etisalat aims to create awareness amongst its customers on advanced products and services that can be derived through the eLife’s holistic proposition. eLife, through high speed broadband Internet, has the capability of opening infinite options for home entertainment such as high definition (HD) video service, video on demand (VoD) and Online Gaming.

With enormous potential to connect various aspects of a customer’s lifestyle, eLife can provide infinite entertainment options through its high speed network. eLife’s high-speed Internet capable of offering speed up to 100 Mbps, will boost adoption of new age Internet services like IPTV, Video On Demand , and online gaming, creating future digital homes."

eLife is based on the FTTH technology connects all the services through a single optical fiber, making it inexpensive, reliable and far simpler than the traditional cable connectivity. Etisalat has already reached the final stage of completion of the FTTH connectivity in Abu Dhabi, scheduled to be completed by end of this year. With eLife connecting all the households in Abu Dhabi, the city will become world's first 100% FTTH connected capital. Etisalat is also in the process of connecting Dubai and Sharjah through eLife and aims to connect the whole of UAE households by 2011.

Customers can visit the Etisalat eLife stand at the Mall of the Emirates, South Galleria, from 26th November to 5th December and enter exciting competitions and draws on a daily basis.
