Canon Middle East has officially launched its next generation print platform – the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE, its innovative multifunctional print (MFP) platform at an exclusive event hosted at The Address Hotel in Downtown Burj Dubai on 17th November. Key partners and customers from across the Middle East were able to experience first hand Canon’s giant leap in technology, functionality and output quality. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE is specifically designed for the office and light production markets.
Nicolas van Santen, Business Solutions Marketing Manager, said “Canon continually looks to produce innovative products that enhance the way our customers do business. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform is an evolution in office print and document management technology. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE series has been designed to efficiently deliver all the needs of a true digital office in the MENA region.”
The new range of office devices – the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5000 series and C7000 series have been designed to address the increasing demands of today’s business environment. Suitable for organisations of all sizes, from SMEs to large corporates, the devices help companies become more efficient through easier integration into their document workflows as well as achieving lower operating costs, improved document security and a lower environmental impact.
In addition to the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7000 series and C5000 series, Canon has launched 2 models from the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9000 PRO Series. The two new models, individually named imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9070 PRO and C9060 PRO, have been designed from scratch to address the needs of professional print service providers with lower volume production requirements.
“With the imageRUNNER ADVANCE, organisations can maximise efficiency and take control of costs. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE range improves efficiency through direct savings such as reduced running costs, lower power consumption and cost management but also indirectly by reducing the fleet of MFPs an organisation relies upon. With extensive functionality, management and automated workflows, these products are a perfect opportunity for businesses to evaluate best practices in handling and sharing information,” added van Santen.
Building on the success of Canon’s award-winning iR-range and including feedback and insight gained from customers and partners, the next generation of colour MFPs boast hundreds of enhancements. For example, a new advanced controller delivers improved performance through faster processing. Further enhancements to Canon’s industry-first MEAP technology and partnership alliances with leading software providers such as Adobe, Microsoft and NTWare, ensure that integration with common office systems is straightforward, contributing significantly to improved operating efficiency and security.
imageRUNNER ADVANCE has also been designed with the environment in mind. Every event in the life of a device and the documents it produces has been considered. The range offers the industry’s highest levels of energy efficiency with an overall reduction in carbon emissions of up to 50 percent. The new range also uses bio plastic in a number of exterior parts and is Energy Star and ROHS compliant.
The Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE will be sold through Canon's accredited channel partners in the Middle East, with the ability to provide the quality of consultancy, service and after-sales support associated with the Canon brand.
