Avaya Appoints Sherif Khairallah As Service Provider Manager For Emerging Markets

Avaya has appointed Sherif Khairallah to the role of Service Provider Manager for the Emerging Markets. Khairallah was previously Territory Manager for Avaya in Egypt and Libya, and takes on the new role as Avaya internally repositions its resources to increase focus on key growth opportunities.

In his new role Khairallah will be responsible for managing Avaya’s business in the telecoms sector, and driving Managed, Hosted and Outsourced businesses with its customers in the telecoms sector in the Emerging Markets which includes Middle East, Africa, Greece and Turkey. The appointment of Khairallah to this role will help Avaya stay closer to its telecom sector customers and partners, and will allow the company develop on new opportunities across the Emerging Markets.

“Avaya has a strategy structured to embrace the varying needs of each service provider type and is focused on providing specialized solutions with clear ROI’s that will help them enter new markets, generate revenue by selling new communication application services, and increase market share. At the same time, it is structured to help achieve cost savings within their organization, with their customers today, while driving innovation for tomorrow without affecting the investment already made,” said Khairallah.

“My primary target in this new role is to generate demand for Avaya’s products and services to and through Service Providers thus increasing market share for Avaya in the Emerging Markets.” said Khairallah.


Khairallah will also oversee Avaya’s recently introduced Service Provider Partner Program that provides turnkey services to help deploy advanced networks capable to deliver highly demanded value added services. The program ensures that service providers are rewarded for investing as appropriate with Avaya and that their customers are reassured in the skills required to deliver outstanding quality. The Avaya Service Provider Partner Program offers clearly defined partner categories with fully transparent financial, technical, sales and marketing benefits growing in parallel with the level of Certification.

Khairallah brings to this position more than 12 years of expertise in Enterprise Communications with leading multinational companies. He joined Avaya in 2001, before which he worked with Alcatel Middle East and North Africa. During his role as Territory Manager for Avaya Egypt and Libya from 2005 to 2009, Khairallah built and grew the business in the area to reach one of the five top revenue generating areas in the Emerging Market. He also helped sustain a solid double digit growth YOY with a solid distribution channel and a network of business partners.

Khariallah holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Computers, Communication and Electronics from Cairo University.
