Etisalat Implements Data Centre Hosting Solutions For Dubai Islamic Bank

Etisalat announced that it had concluded a project with Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) to implement a hosting solution at Etisalat’s data center facility at Al Ain. The entire project, inclusive of commissioning of the communication links, business critical systems and infrastructure set-up was completed within a span of four weeks.
Etisalat‘s state of the art infrastructure and network connectivity alternatives were major factors for DIB to select Etisalat for this project. The implementation of this significant initiative by DIB is now helping the bank to connect all 61 branches across the UAE on Etisalat’s private MPLS network back-bone to ensure high availability and data protection.
According to Nadeem Busheri, Senior Vice President, Head of Information Technology, Dubai Islamic Bank, “After evaluating various service providers, we have selected Etisalat as our partner to host our secondary data center and this would help DIB to ensure business continuity, high service availability, and protection against any service disruption.”
