Lenovo Targets Egypt’s $1.2bn IT Market With The New “Idea” Product Range

Lenovo announced the launch of its latest range of “Idea” products in the Egyptian market. The new “Idea” products are designed to provide customers with cool, fun to use and highly reliable technology with the latest capabilities at a surprisingly affordable value. The “Idea” products target consumers and professionals who are looking to maximize entertainment and computing performance to get the job done at work and keep them connected and enjoying their computing experience as well.
According to the latest reports from Business Monitor International (BMI) Egypt’s computer hardware sales are projected at $757mn in 2009 and are forecast to reach $1.2bn in 2013. Egypt’s IT spending is forecasted to increase from $1.2bn in 2009 to $1.9bn by 2013. BMI projects a 2009-2013 IT spending compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12% which puts Egypt in the top tier of global IT growth markets.

The new range of “Idea” products launched in Egypt includes a big variety of notebooks such as the U350 and G550, netbooks such as the S10-2, S12 and All-in-Ones such as the A600.
The S10-2.
The S10-2 netbook provides enthusiasts, social networkers and mobile consumers with the latest in connectivity, entertainment and performance features to keep them better connected. It gives consumers even cooler netbook features – models with 3G connectivity, the rich sound of Dolby headphone technology for music and movies and long battery life.
The IdeaPad S12.
The IdeaPad S12 netbook offers plenty of up and running time with up to six hours of battery life to support the mobile demands of netbook users. The IdeaPad U350.
Encased in a sophisticated polished silver shell, the IdeaPad U350 laptop starts at 1.58 kg and measures less than 25mm thick. While thin and light to the touch on the outside, Lenovo loaded the PC’s inside full of the latest technologies to maximize entertainment and computing performance. A 16:9 aspect ratio high definition 13.3 inch LED panel and an HDMI connector allow users to fully enjoy watching movies or other multimedia in high definition. The IdeaPad U350 laptop also packs in several unexpected features, such as Ambient Light Sensor which automatically adjusts the screen’s brightness according to the lighting environment, reducing eye strain while preserving battery life.
