Intel Launches Tomorrow Mural Competition In The UAE As Part Of Sponsors Of Tomorrow Campaign

Published Dec 21, 2009

These are the questions Intel is asking Arab youth, thus inspiring them to express themselves and contribute to ‘The Tomorrow Mural’. This is part of a global social media program set to encourage participants to consider the future in a creative way and have a chance to win a laptop powered with the latest Intel® Core™ i7 Mobile Processor.

Arab youth can contribute at www.intel.com/ae/tomorrowmural and through words and images to ‘The Tomorrow Mural’ by uploading an image of a favorite photograph, or use inspiring words for a poem on what their tomorrow might look like; they can also zoom in and start sharing their visions in this metamorphic Mural, check out each other's art work, sort images through thematic tags, and share their views of the future with the world. The site also offers an opportunity to view the most popular images and vote for the ones participants like most. The competition will close on 4th January 2010.

“For more than 40 years, Intel has been delivering tomorrow’s ‘normal,’ and our Sponsors of Tomorrow campaign revolves around this idea,” said Shabbab Al-Ghamdi, Marketing Manager, Intel GCC, “We are very excited to see imaginative ideas from the UAE and are keen to see their version of how technology will transform the future.” said Al-Ghamdi.

Launched earlier this year, Sponsors of Tomorrow is Intel’s biggest marketing campaign in nearly 3 years and the first that spotlights the promotion of the Intel brand and not a processor
product, the ambitious campaign conveys the message that gigantic advances of the digital age have been made possible by silicon – the key ingredient in microprocessors – and the vast majority of this silicon has come from Intel.

“We’re hoping to convey that we’re not just a microprocessor company, but a move-society-forward-by-quantum-leaps company. Our image and our brand are far too powerful to just be a microprocessor when, in fact, the greatest strength of the Intel brand will always be what is still to come. What Intel develops today leads the path toward a better tomorrow,” concluded Al-Ghamdi.
