Xerox Board Elects Jacques Guers As Corporate Officer

Xerox Corporation’s board of directors recently elected Jacques Guers as a vice president of the corporation.

Guers is president of Xerox Developing Markets Operations. He was appointed to this position in July 2009. Developing Markets Operations (DMO) is focused on Xerox’s growth opportunities in emerging markets and countries around the world, including Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, the Eurasian countries, India and Russia.
Guers, 54, joined Xerox in 1980 and has worked in a number of sales, services, marketing and general management roles. Most recently, he was chief operating officer of DMO and previously was general manager of Xerox France.

Guers received degrees in business and marketing from France’s EDHEC Business School in 1980. He was made Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur for his contribution to the French economy. The appointment is effective immediately.
