First Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Marketplace, 26-28 January 2010.

At the exhibition and the accompanying forum science, technology and innovation stakeholders shall present innovations, inventions, technologies and research projects of the industry, governmental institutions as well research institutions from the EU and the Mediterranean.
The exhibition aims at informing the regional research and business community on current projects and programmes allowing them to network and build closer ties between potential partners from different countries as well as strengthening the cooperation between industry & research institutions.
Among the exhibitors of the Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Exhibition are the following joint Pavilions:
Country Pavilions: Cyprus, France, Germany, Morocco, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, British Council, European Commission, Euro-Mediterranean University, ITIDA, Technology Transfer Center and Vodafone. As well as the following themed pavilions:
- Inventors’ Pavilion: inventors’ prototypes ready for commercialization.
- EU Framework Programme (FP) Projects’ Pavilion: showcasing European Commission Framework Programme for Research & Technological Development Projects.
- EU-Egypt Innovation Fund (EEIF) Projects’ Pavilion: Projects financed by the RDI Programme, and run in collaboration between the industry and research sectors.
- Students’ Pavilion: inventions/projects of school and university students.
- Interactive Kids’ Pavilion: hands on activities for kids to raise their passion for science in a simple and fun manner.
The Euro-Mediterranean Innovation and Research Forum which will focus on promoting scientific excellence, mutual cooperation and innovation strategies will be delivered by key speakers, among them are:
- H.E. Eng. Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Ministry of Trade and Industry
- H.E. Dr. Hany Helal, Minister of higher Education and State for Scientific Research
- Dr. JM Rodriguez Silva, Director general for RTD, EC
The Marketplace will be open to public daily from 9.00 hrs to 19.00 hrs.
