Published Jan 4, 2010

Axis Communications, the global leader in the network video market, will showcase a new range of network cameras at Intersec 2010. Visitors to the Axis stand (215C) will have the opportunity to see the entire product range in action, from the smallest and smartest wireless cameras, to the latest day and night cameras with exceptional image detail.

Baraa Al Akkad, Regional Manager, Axis Communications Middle East explains, “Intersec is the perfect venue for Axis Communications to showcase our latest range of cutting-edge network video innovations. With a high number of green installations, the network video penetration in the Middle East market is one of the highest in the world with more medium-to-enterprise based applications opting for the latest technologies.”

Axis Communications will participate at Intersec 2010 with one of their application development partners Aimetis Corporation, a software company offering integrated intelligent video management solutions for surveillance and business intelligence applications.

Together with Axis Communications, Aimeits will demonstrate a complete security solution with features including integrated video management & analytics, people counting and business intelligence reporting.

Among the products that will be on display at Intersec will include the recently launched AXIS P5534, the highest video quality pan/tilt/zoom camera with HDTV performance and 18x zoom. In addition to the AXIS P5534, Axis will demonstrate their new range of outdoor surveillance solutions as well as their high performance one, four and six channels video encoders, the AXIS Q7401, Q7404 and Q7406.

Axis recently unveiled a new range of HDTV cameras utilising the H.264 compression techniques standard. HDTV is a recent technology development that has gained enormous interest in the video surveillance market. The introduction of HDTV in network cameras means excellent image in compliance with the SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers) standards in resolution, colour representation and frame rate. The AXIS P3344 & P1346 will be showcased during Intersec 2010.
