Brother To Showcase PC Connectable Labelling Machines At ‘Arab Lab 2010’

Published Jan 6, 2010

Brother Gulf, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of printing, communication and digital imaging products for homes, SOHOs and enterprises, is set to showcase its PC connectable labelling machines at the upcoming ‘Arab Lab 2010’, one of the most influential laboratory and instrumentation events in the region. The leading printing solutions provider will highlight its new ‘P-touch’ models, as well as its ‘QL’ labelling machines at the exhibition, which is slated to run from January 9 to 12, 2010 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC). Brother will be participating at the event alongside Almoe Digital Solutions, its ‘P-touch’ distributor in UAE.

The new ‘P-touch’ label printers to be highlighted during the event include the PT-9700PC, a high performance, PC compatible labelling system with print speed of up to 20mm/second using TZ laminated tape and up to 80mm/second using HG tape. In addition, Brother is also set to showcase the dual operating PT-2700AR, which can print Arabic, English and Persian labels. Both printers incorporate an automatic cutter, and are capable of database and barcode printing, making them ideal solutions for laboratories, hospitals, offices, warehouses and stores. Brother will be present at Hall 6, stand 533 in DICEC.

“’Arab Lab 2010’ presents us with an excellent opportunity to position ‘P-touch’ as professional labelling machine of choice among laboratories across different industries including medical, petrochemical, biotechnological and environmental,” said Shinji Tada, Managing Director, Brother Gulf. “Our aim in participating in this event is to bring innovative and reliable products to lab professionals, thereby helping them boost their productivity and efficiency.”

In addition to ‘P-touch’ printers, Brother also aims to build a stronger market for its ‘QL’ line of labelling machines. Demonstrating perfect synergy of functionality and design, the QL-570 professional label printer has a top print speed of up to 68 labels per minute using Brother's standard address DK labels, and creates cost effective labels on demand for envelopes, test tubes, warning and instruction signs, packages, file folders, CD/DVD, name badges, among others. Meanwhile, the QL-650TD can be used with or without a PC and boasts of a Front LCD panel that shows time and date message, and USB and RS-232 interfaces. Both models share several high performance features, including direct thermal technology for cost effective printing, wide labels up to 62mm, database and barcode printing, and capacity to print on a wide range of die-cut DK and continuous DK label sizes.

“Label printers are ideal for clients who want to create customised labels quickly and easily so they can look more professional and become more organised. With our current range of label printers, we provide the market with the fastest, easiest and most versatile way to print labels, which can withstand water, chemicals and heat. We are confident that by demonstrating the extensive benefits of our professional label printers and our ability to serve diverse lab labelling applications during ’Arab Lab 2010’ will connect us with key lab suppliers and potential partners, which can further expand our market,” concluded Tada.
