Etisalat Launches Unlimited Package For Push-To-Talk Service

Push-to-Talk transforms a mobile phone into a walkie-talkie and allows customers to send their message to an individual or a group of receivers at the same time. Push-to-talk also lets customers contact their friends and colleagues directly without dialing their numbers. A message can be directly sent through the push of a button and the receivers can listen to the message through the loudspeaker of their devices.

Customers can create up to 5 groups and up to 25 people in each group.

Its multiple features enable customers to save time, effort and cost of communication by connecting with more than one person at once.” said Khalifa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President, Consumer Marketing, Etisalat. “Through this offer Etisalat customers have an excellent opportunity to experience the service with flat fees and discover its wonderful features.”

To activate Push- to-talk service, customers need a Nokia PTT enabled device. Customers can simply subscribe to this package by sending an SMS ‘r uptt’ to 1010, . They can adjust the settings of their phone by dialing 125 and following the voice commands or by sending an SMS ‘s ptt’ to 1010.

Through Etisalat’s GSM and advanced 3.5G network across the UAE, Push-to-talk provides high level of connectivity. It also provides a distinct advantage to the user, with its unique capability of contacting a group simultaneously, thereby providing higher level of efficiency and significant cost reductions.

In addition to the Push-to-talk service, the Pay-as-you-go option is still available to customers with lighter usage. They can subscribe to the service for AED 5 per month and pay 15 fils per push for one-to-one.
