Blue Coat Adds Cyveillance To Web Gateway Protection

Blue Coat Secure Web Gateway adds anti-phishing and anti-malware intelligence from Cyveillance.

Blue Coat is to integrate anti-phishing and anti-malware intelligence from cyber security company Cyveillance, to boost its Blue Coat Secure Web Gateway solution.

The Secure Web Gateway appliance combine a physical appliance with cloud based intelligence on cyber threats to protect users across a local and remote locations.

The Cyveillance Anti-Phishing Intelligent Data Feed will provide a real-time data feed of fraudulent URLs used in phishing, while the Cyveillance Anti-Malware URL Feed, comprises of confirmed malicious URLs, with a high incidence of preventing zero day attacks not detected elsewhere.

Cyveillance data feeds give us additional information that we can combine with the web awareness that we have from our own collaborative cloud-based WebPulse service, to protect users against zero day malware attacks and other Web-based threats."

The Blue Coat Secure Web Gateway solution uses a cloud-based collaborative defence called WebPulse, which dynamically analyzes real-time URL requests, with 16 advanced threat analysis technologies to provide continuous protection against Web-based threats, including anti-virus and anti-malware, custom script analyzers, sandboxing, third party feeds, machine analysis and web correlation tools that provide security intelligence for human raters to validate new Web threats and content.
