Microsoft Brings Tech.Ed To Middle East

Microsoft's largest technical education and networking conference Tech.Ed will take place in the Middle East for the first time this year.

The conference, which will run from March 1st to 3rd at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, is open to industry professional interested in getting to know more about Microsoft technologies tools, platforms and services.

The conference will include lecture-style presentations, keynote speeches by Microsoft experts, a technical learning centre, instructor-led labs and informal technical discussions. The company hosts regular Tech.Ed conferences in North America, India, Africa, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, China, Latin America and now the Middle East as well.

Dubai Internet City has announced its partnership with Microsoft for the conference, with executive director Malek Sultan Al Malek commenting that: "The timing of this major industry event comes as a testament to the resilience of the IT industry in the region."

"We are very pleased to bring the first Tech.Ed Middle East to a global city like Dubai in association with Dubai Internet City.

This event is expected to bring together the region's best and brightest IT professionals to discuss key technology trends and share best practices that will transform and drive the success of businesses in the Middle East," said Charbel Fakhoury, GM of Microsoft Gulf.

Speakers confirmed so far include Aaron Skonnard Microsoft MVP and co-founder of Pluralsight, an industry think-tank focused on training for Microsoft developers, and Andy Malone, CEO of Quality Training Ltd and founder of both the Dive Deeper Technology and Cybercrime Security events.
