HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Inaugurates Intersec Trade Fair & Conference

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum officially inaugurated Intersec trade fair and conference. The three day event is taking place at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 17 to 19 January. Dubai Police Academy Director General, Dr. Mohammed Bin Fahad will deliver one of the keynote addresses at this year’s Intersec trade fair and conference.
Leading international security experts and officials will be presenting on various topics in relation to Homeland Security & Policing, Safety & Health and Fire & Rescue during the two-day conference entitled: Dealing with Disaster - Readiness, Response, Recovery.
Mr. Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer, Epoc Messe Frankfurt GmbH, organisers of Intersec, said: “Under the patronage of H.H. Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Director General, UAE Civil Defence announced the group’s strategic support for Intersec 2010. During the conference, Major General Rashid Al Matroushi will speak on “Strategic Integration between Dubai Civil Defence and Private Companies”.

For the second year running Intersec is hosting live demonstrations in specific live demo areas as platforms to showcase specific products and services to trade visitors. At Intersec 2010, an elite team of Emirati fire fighters are competing in the first ever “UAE International Firefit Championships”. Fire fighters from Canada and all seven Emirates are competing against each other in six categories relating to fire fighting and rescue, in a three day challenge running alongside the trade event.
