Trend Micro Rolls Out New Solution Suites For Enterprises And Medium Businesses Offering Maximum Protection With Minimum Complexity

Published Jan 18, 2010

Trend Micro is introducing a new family of enterprise and medium business security suites, powered by the Trend Micro™ Smart Protection Network™ infrastructure, for organizations looking to effectively block the latest online threats and secure their corporate networks, servers and endpoints, while at the same time realize significant cost-savings during challenging economic times.

With security management costs being a significant portion of content security expenditures, the new Trend Micro™ Enterprise Security suites can help protect organizations better while reducing the time it takes to acquire, deploy, and manage content security.

According to independent research, Trend Micro can help lower projected infection rates by up to over 60 percent and slash security management costs by up to 40 percent.

The Trend Micro Smart Protection Network delivers the infrastructure behind these suites and differentiates them from competing solutions.

It uses a number of patent-pending technologies and combines Internet-based (or “in-the-cloud”) technologies with lighter-weight, client-based methods to ensure customers have immediate access to the latest and strongest protection wherever and however they connect – from home, within the company’s network, or on the go.

The new suites are:

- Trend Micro Enterprise Security Suite.

- Trend Micro Enterprise Security for Endpoints and Mail Servers.
- Trend Micro Enterprise Security for Gateways.

- Trend Micro Enterprise Security for Endpoints.

These four new suites join the existing Trend Micro Enterprise Security for Communication and Collaboration to comprise a family of offerings that are streamlined, cohesive and tailored to the different needs of enterprise and medium business customers.

Trend Micro Enterprise Security Suite, the flagship and most comprehensive suite within the new family, is a centrally managed security solution designed to protect the Internet gateway, mail and file servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

Trend Micro Enterprise Security Suite provides maximum and multilayered protection from viruses, spyware, spam and blended threats, including Web-based attacks.

“The new functionalities offered through Trend Micro’s latest enterprise and medium business suites will help elevate the protection we need without the management hassle and costs often associated with complicated enterprise security solutions.

Trend Micro brings both innovation and insight to what customers are looking for,” said Michael Draeger, senior field support, IT, Silgan Containers, LLC. With more than 38 manufacturing plants, Silgan Containers is the largest manufacturer of metal food containers in its markets and, for many years, has relied on Trend Micro for multilayered protection from data-stealing malware and threats to the business.

“Based on in-depth primary market research, we created these new Trend Micro Enterprise Security suites to better help organizations get their security-related jobs performed both more effectively and more efficiently,” said Dan Glessner, vice-president of global enterprise and data center marketing, Trend Micro.

“An increasing number of organizations are seeking to consolidate many, disparate security point products into fewer, more comprehensive solutions from a handful of industry leaders; Trend Micro is one of these trusted advisors.”
