For the first time since completion of the acquisition of Nortel Enterprise Solutions, Avaya will bring its channel community together with Nortel partners in Dubai for the company’s annual Partner Conference scheduled to take place from February 2 - 3, 2010 at the Madinat Jumeirah.
More than 300 channel partners from across the Emerging Markets region are expected to attend the two day conference, making this year’s event Avaya’s largest channel partner conference in the Emerging Markets to date.
At a special session during the conference, Avaya will present the findings of a specially commissioned research by Frost & Sullivan entitled: “Middle East Market Opportunities with Unified Communication; Listen to the Voice of Customers.”
“There are three main elements dominating the conference agenda this year, but the underlying goal is the sharing of information.
First, we will share the much anticipated integrated product strategy and roadmap with Nortel and Avaya partners from across the Emerging Markets region,” said Nidal Abou-Ltaif, area VP for the Emerging Markets region, Avaya.
Secondly, we will share the findings of the Frost & Sullivan research to help our partners understand, identify, and exploit market opportunities, while addressing the challenges they may face. And thirdly, we will roll out Avaya Connect, our global partner program created to drive greater profitability and growth for our channel partners.”
Avaya Connect represents a major overhaul of the Avaya’s existing channel programs into a globally consistent framework that streamlines processes, pricing, training and certification requirements while enabling channel partners to serve their customers better.
Avaya Connect will let channel partners grow their businesses by expanding financial benefits, enhancing technical, marketing and sales support and providing a highly effective, simplified training and certification program.
The global framework also recognizes the needs of different types of partners – from system integrators and services providers to small and mid-size business resellers – and addresses them appropriately.
Our partners are overwhelmingly positive about the year ahead, and see a range of opportunities open to them. Avaya Connect will support our partners in taking advantage of the opportunities 2010 will present and provide them with the support for demand-generation, solution and sales training they have indicated is critical for their success,” he added.
The conference will feature the participation of top executives including Jeremy Butt, vice president, Worldwide Channels; Simon Woollet, vice president, Unified Communications Solutions R&D; and Michael Bayer, President, Avaya EMEA who will address partners and provide a corporate overview of the company.
Avaya will also recognize partner excellence through its Partner Awards Ceremony that will be held during a gala dinner on Feb 2.
