Kulacom Mascot Name Chosen— Meet KIT, The Kulacom Internet Turtle

Kulacom has announced the winner of its ‘Name our Mascot’ competition. KIT, the Kulacom Internet Turtle, submitted by Karim Kamal is the winning name for the turtle mascot. Karim is also the grand prize winner of a lifetime WiMAX internet subscription with Kulacom.
Saidah Aboudi, Kulacom Jordan’s Marketing Manager, stated, “Our mascot the turtle has been nameless for almost a year now, and we needed help from the public to come up with the most suitable name for the turtle. We received some very creative name suggestions and the public voted for their favorite.”
She went on to say, “We would like to congratulate Karim Kamal for receiving the most votes for his turtle mascot name. As the winner of a lifetime WiMAX subscription, Karim will benefit from Kulacom’s high-speed and high-bandwidth Internet service for a very long time.”
Karim describes how he came up with the winning name by saying, “I was online looking at the competition page and I was thinking ‘Kulacom Internet Turtle, K.I.T’ but then I gave up. About an hour later the letters K.I.T popped into my head again and that’s how the name KIT was born. No friends, no interferences, just me and the computer.”
He went on to say, “Now I am the winner of a lifetime WiMAX internet subscription from Kulacom and it feels awesome; it feels like you're not going to pay for internet ever again. So I would like to say thank you to Kulacom and SPIN Jordan, you just made my communication life forever good.”
The competition was launched in December where a variety of unique and creative mascot suggestions were submitted on the Kulacom website. The best two names that were short listed every day over a two week period were announced on the Breakfast Espresso on Spin FM and also received amazing prizes from Kulacom such as cash prizes, printers, phones, dinner vouchers and WiMAX subscriptions. Everyone was then given the opportunity to vote for the name they liked the most.
