AMD Fusion Partner Program Takes Off In U.A.E. And The Middle East

AMD has said that it has received a significant level of interest in the AMD Fusion Partner Program, less than three months after the initiative launched. Companies across the U.A.E. & the Middle East have been registering to become part of the organization’s first global partner program, introduced to expand the delivery of complete AMD platforms by offering tailored incentives and resources for channel partners.
The AMD Fusion Partner Program was launched in September 2009 to provide channel partners with tools and resources to help support sales based on their unique business models. By fusing its four existing partner programs, AMD wanted to provide customized incentives to help support the sales process of all AMD solutions (AMD CPU, AMD GPU and AMD Chipset). As part of the program, partners also receive more personalized tools, training and resources - both in person and online - that fit with their specific business needs.
“The AMD Fusion Partner Program was a big draw for us. It is designed to help us deliver a high standard of service to customers whilst aiming to increase our sales of complete AMD solutions overall,” said Mr. Punit Jagada from Prince Computers LLC. “By uniting its rewards, training and marketing support for partners in a single program, AMD is endeavoring to make the process of working with it much more streamlined and consistent. Having a single point of reference for information and resources should allow us to work together much more effectively, while the incentives and financial rewards offer the opportunity to go above and beyond target.”
“The training and support the program offers is intended to allow partners to clearly differentiate between competitor products, helping us to better market, and therefore sell, AMD solutions,” said Eng. Ahmed Elsayed, Managing Partner at Gamma (AMD Premier Partner in Egypt). “Not only is this designed to benefit our bottom line, it may dramatically improve the levels of service we are able to offer our customers. This should assist in pushing demand generation deeper into the channel, potentially improving sales for the whole ecosystem. 2009 was a big year for AMD’s channel and with further positive changes expected for the AMD Fusion Program coming in 2010, we’re excited to see what the future holds.”
“The new program is clearly a big hit with the channel and we are delighted to see such high interest so early on,” said Rami Al Saleh, channel sales manager for Middle East and Africa. “We are receiving strong feedback that partners who have joined the scheme are benefitting from our goals of providing better online training tools, enhanced incentive programs and new co-marketing programs. The coming quarter will see us roll out additional benefits – including an enhanced partner web portal and new loyalty programs, furthering the goal of the AMD Fusion Partner Program to help our channel partners increase ROI and maximize profitability. We believe AMD is poised for success with a strong product roadmap across all parts of the business as well as a high-performing channel partner network.”
