Hewlett Packard To Participate In Cairo ICT 2010

Published Feb 7, 2010

Hewlett-Packard (HP) the world’s largest technology company underlined its ongoing commitment to the ICT community in the Egyptian marketplace and announced its participation at the 14th Cairo ICT 2010.

Amin Mortazavi, General Manger of IPG, HP Middle East said: "The Cairo ICT serves as a great opportunity for us to introduce our new Office jet Pro and touch enabled Photosmart printer models along with our reliable and cost-effective LaserJets. We aim to communicate our strategy for a continuous growth and investing in new innovations during the show. HP prides itself on being a global IT leader with the broadest portfolio of products and solutions on the market and the largest, strongest regional presence. At major showcase events like Cairo ICT, market leadership translates into finding more engaging ways to show customers how HP technology can improve their professional and personal lives."

Besides the new technologies, HP will also be focusing on its Managed Print Services (MPS) during the show. MPS aims to enhance employee productivity and satisfaction whilst ensuring controlled document security through the features of HP Multi-Function printers. MPS will also improve environmental sustainability by reducing energy consumption and reduce cost on imaging and printing work of an enterprise.

ICT is the fastest growing sector in Egypt according to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. Egypt topped second year in a row Gartner's 30 leading locations for IT services report. This year, Egypt has been recognized by various institutions for the significant level of support its ICT sector receives from the Egyptian government, as well as its advantageous cost structure.

HP’s Photosmart series, which will be displayed at the ICT Cairo 2010 this year, is powered by HP-developed software designed specifically for touch. The TouchSmart technology recognizes the movements of a finger as it sweeps across the super-slim touchscreen, giving users quick access to all the printing and imaging functionality.
