Nawras is delighted to once again be sponsoring the Muscat Community Football League (MCFL) Tournament which is scheduled to take place in the capital city this weekend. More than 480 children will enjoy this great opportunity to put their football skills to the test while playing their part in the 40 participating teams that will be lining up to compete for a host of trophies and titles. The boys and girls represent a number of different nationalities and attend various schools in Muscat.
Since November, boys and girls aged between 6 and 15 have been playing football every Thursday with the match results compiled to produce league winners in the various age groups. This weekend will see the teams start from scratch once again in a battle to become the tournament winners. The event is always a great test of both sportsmanship and teamwork and promises to be a highly enjoyable occasion for both participants and spectators alike.
Tore Solberg, Nawras chief commercial officer, said, “We are delighted to be sponsoring this popular event once again. We wish all the children a great day and look forward to making this a pleasingly different event for everyone concerned.”
The MCFL is just one of the many sporting events sponsored by this customer friendly telecommunications operator and part of a wider community support programme with the most well-known annual event being the Nawras Goodwill Journey which takes place during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Nawras, the Sultanate’s award winning mobile operator, will be launching its pleasingly different fixed services during 2010, providing customers with a full range of communication solutions while continuing to provide great value and excellent quality.
