Giza Systems, AUC Sign Partnership Agreement To Establish 'Giza Systems School Of Technology'

At Smart Village's Conference Center, Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, attends today the partnership signing ceremony of Giz Systems and the American University in Cairo (AUC) for the establishment of 'Giza Systems School of Technology'.
The school will provide training courses for fresh graduates from Egyptian universities and the courses will cover basic soft skills as well as specialized technical skills.
With the generous presence of professional executives from both sides, along with a number of CIT industry figures, the contract was officially signed between Eng.
Shehab El-Nawawi, CEO and Managing Director of Giza Systems and Dr. Mohsen El-Shamaa, Director of the AUC Management Center.
This program focuses on training young people on business soft skills as well as the skills needed for sales and management practices.
The training courses will be given by highly qualified instructors from the AUC Management Center.
However, the technical part will be presented by industry-specialized trainers from Giza.
The training programs are especially designed to ensure maximum utilization of the trainees and to provide them with the skills needed in the labor market.
There was extensive collaboration with many specialty institutions to design the content of the giving courses.
Among them is the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), which plays a vital role in the content design.
In addition to the Tele Management Forum (TMF), that works on developing the efficiency of operating companies in the field of communications and setting international guidelines for them.
Dr. Tarek Kamel asserted, 'The world of tomorrow is of strong competition, however, we have the qualifications to compete and our duty is to maximize the utilization of both physical and human resources, otherwise we would encounter great distress.
Our responsibility is to support and educate the new generations with those elements.'
The minister expressed his optimism about the future of the telecommunication sector in Egypt and the injection of investments, in addition to the rising employment curve by facilitating more than 10,000 direct and indirect vacancies.
Dr. Kamel also added, 'We need such serious initiatives which reflect the role of the private sector in the development of human resources working in the CIT field and to promote human labor to the highest levels as it is the basic component of development and which will attract more foreign investments and raise the efficiency of the Egyptian economy.'
'Giza Systems School of Technology has national objectives, aims at developing human resources that serve the CIT sector since our region enjoys promising market, which is expanding day by day,' stated Mr. Shehab El-Nawawi.
'This partnership comes from Giza Systems' belief in the vital role of the played by the private sector in developing the CIT industry and supporting calibers, in addition to reinforcing young people with the necessary skills for the business market.

Mr. David Arnold, the president of AUC, also stated that he is pleased with AUC participation in this outstanding project and that AUC will contribute by giving the soft skills, sales and management programs through a number of experienced and highly-qualified professionals.
Mrs. Abeer El-Ghonemi, CEO Vice Manager for Human Development at Giza Systems, stated:
'The idea behind establishing Giza Systems School of Technology comes in collaboration with the Management Center at AUC.
AUC is known for its consideration of community development and service using prominent and well-trained people.
The program duration will be three extensive months. Trainees will be trained on basic business skills, sales and marketing skills, and project management skills.
They will also enjoy having specialized technical skills by experienced and qualified trainers from the team of Giza Systems.
'Giza Systems is keen on hiring prominent and successful candidates.
The initiative is expected to start in July for 2008 and 2009 graduates.
One hundred students are expected to be graduated in the first year and training classes will be held at AUC main campus in Down Town,' El-Ghonemi added.
