Jeeran Participates In Google Day: Arabia 2.0

As representatives of the MENA digital and online community, Jeeran’s founders, Mr. Omar Koudsi, CEO of Jeeran, and Mr. Laith Zureikat, CPO of Jeeran, were invited to the first ever Google Day in the region on the 10th of February in Dubai. More than 150 CEOs, CMOs, Government leaders and thought leaders joined ‘Google Day: Arabia 2.0’ to envision the future of e-innovation in the MENA markets.

The founders of Jeeran, the largest Arab user generated content online community highlighted the growth of Jeeran throughout the past years. They discussed Jeeran’s beginnings in an incubator, the obstacles and challenges the company faced, and the milestones that have been achieved.

Mr. Vinton Cerf, Google’s Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist, and Mr. Mohamad Gawdat, Head of Emerging Markets Counsel at Google, led the discussions and debates at the event about the prospects and challenges of innovation in the region.

Google Day, which will be held annually in the region, is an important venue for bringing together leaders of the internet community where participants will regularly identify and discuss means of developing the knowledge economy as well as the future of the internet in the MENA region.
