Another Nawras First Makes It Even Easier To Get Rannati Ring Back Tunes

Published Feb 22, 2010

Nawras is introducing another ‘first’ by launching a new, easier way to buy trendy ring back tunes using Rannati WAP on a handset. This is the latest and simplest customer friendly way to access one of the most popular value added services and means that there are now a total of four different ways to select ring tunes.

Not only is this a great way to personalise a phone, Rannati tunes also make ideal gifts and can be an unusual and yet inexpensive way to greet a friend or family member on their birthday for example or when celebrating a special occasion. This service is already being enjoyed by many Nawras customers and with this new simpler way of accessing the content, many more can begin to customise their phones with this stylish, fun approach.

The new way to access Rannati tunes is to simply go to the WAP browser (internet connection) on a phone or handset and select BawaBaty on wap.bawabaty.com followed by Extra and then Rannati. This is in addition to customers being able to choose Rannati ring back tunes by calling 1525, sending a blank SMS to the same number or visiting the website at http://rannati.nawras.om.

Rannati subscription is just 500 Baiza for 30 days with automatic renewal. A default Nawras tune is free to all customers with additional tunes priced at only 500 Baiza each and valid for one year. All Nawras Shababiah customers are offered a free subscription to Rannati.

It is not necessary to have a data plan to browse Rannati WAP and without one it is just OMR 0.0005 (half a Baiza) per KB of data browsed. As a guideline, customers can expect to spend around 50 Baiza when browsing through approximately 10 pages.

Features of pleasingly different Rannati WAP include a ‘tune list’ where customers can browse through the selection of titles according to various music categories as well as ‘select tune by ID’ which can be made by using the ID number only, when this is already known.

Other features include ‘tune assignment’ allowing different tunes to be programmed for different callers from the Rannati settings menu. Customers can also choose to turn the ‘shuffle’ feature on or off to play tunes randomly and elect to receive new content notifications if they wish as well as change default tunes.

Nawras offers more than 60 value added services as well as a number of different channels giving clear instructions on how to buy and use them. These include sending the keyword Nawras by SMS to 1500 or visiting the company’s award winning website: www.nawras.om, where all the latest news, offers and services are also shown.

In 2005, Nawras, a Qtel Group company, began its total transformation of the mobile telecommunications landscape in the Sultanate of Oman and today the creativity continues unabated as the company pursues its mission to be the best communications provider and employer of choice in Oman.
