As part of its ongoing commitment to greater Emiratisation, du is participating at National Career Exhibition 2010 in Sharjah as the gold sponsor, during 24-26 February, at Expo Centre Sharjah. du’s participation will present opportunities to UAE local talent to enroll on its graduate trainee programme, Masar, through which it has 100 exciting careers to offer to qualified candidates in 2010. Participation at the event follows du’s pursuit of identifying and recruiting best qualified UAE nationals, du during various career fairs in the UAE, as part of its goal to achieve greater Emiratisation within the company.

du is supporting and participating in the Sharjah Career Fair, for the second consecutive year. The company is inviting UAE nationals to visit its stand (120 C) at the event to explore possible career avenues and find out about available opportunities within the company. du is also encouraging UAE Nationals to learn about its various career opportunities by visiting the website careers.du.ae . It is worth mentioning that du’s successful Emiratisation programme has already touched 20 per cent of the workforce, and now stands at 35 per cent at the senior management level, while a further increase across the company is expected during 2010.

“As a fast-growing UAE company presenting exciting career opportunities, du is always looking for the most well-qualified candidates in the UAE, and we would like to encourage UAE Nationals to visit our stand to find out about the possibility of working for one of our various business units, whether it is within the engineering, network, marketing or customer service departments. We have a number of opportunities to offer candidates with varying levels of qualification and specialisation,” commented Fahad Al Hassawi, chief human resources and corporate services officer, du.

du has participated in a number of career fairs across the UAE, receiving substantial interest from young graduates at a number of venues including the recent Tawdheef Recruitment Show in Abu Dhabi Career Fair and the Al Fujairah Career Fair last May – for which it was the diamond sponsor – as well as the American University in Sharjah and the Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research, among others. Following Tawdheef earlier this month, du received an astonishing 1000 CVs from UAE nationals.

du offers a unique work environment, which gathers expertise from employees originating from the UAE as well as from over 60 countries around the world. Masar, du’s 18-month training programme that concludes with a job placement within the company, not only provides UAE nationals with an opportunity to develop themselves in the company as business managers, but also helps them to grow professionally on their various career paths.
