CABSAT Goes Creative Allowing Visitors To Make Their Own Broadcasts

Visitors to this year’s CABSAT MENA and Satellite MENA exhibitions will be able to create their own personalised broadcasts from the show floor.
The organiser, Dubai World Trade Centre, is launching a ‘Creative Media Zone’ at this year’s event; an exciting interactive feature where content recorded during the show will be edited, formatted and broadcast on-site.
The exhibitions, dedicated to digital media, content creation and satellite communications, will run from 2 – 4 March 2010 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).
Produced in conjunction with Media Production Magazine, the ‘Creative Media Zone’ will be equipped with roaming cameras, audio and video equipment to create on-site content including interviews, short movies and broadcast live from the show floor.
Supported by many leading brands from within the industry, including Apple, Generic, JVC / Oasis Enterprise, Protech, Rode, Thomsun, Yamaha and many more, the ‘Creative Media Zone’ will allow trade visitors to explore and review the latest equipment in an interactive environment.
“There is a growing demand for content creation specialists in the UAE,” said David Roberts, Industry Group Manager, CABSAT and Satellite MENA, Dubai World Trade Centre. “The Creative Media Zone at CABSAT MENA and Satellite MENA will offer a real working environment where visitors can implement new systems to help them create more imaginative content and work to tighter timelines.”
“Post-production will play a key role in this year’s show with many new companies starting to emerge in their area of digital media. CABSAT MENA and Satellite MENA are key industry bell weather events for discovery new technology and the Creative Media Zone will bring to life a new era in content creation,” he added.
Senior executives from global companies are now regular exhibitors at the show and use the CABSAT MENA platform to launch new products and design developments, and to network with key clients in the Middle East. The show also welcomes many important decision makers from international TV networks including the Al Jazeera, BBC, CNBC Arabiya, CNN and MBC.
Nearly 700 exhibitors will be participating at this year’s CABSAT MENA and Satellite MENA from more than 50 countries around the world, including leading companies such as Al Mazroui, Al Yahsat, AMT, Arabsat, Avid, Blusens, EuroStar, Fujinon, Harris, Hewlett Packard, Hitachi, Horizon Satellite Services, MediaCast, Nilesat, Noorsat, Satcom Global, Sony, Venutech, VSAT, and Wasp 3D.
Running alongside CABSAT MENA and Satellite MENA are the CABSAT MENA 2010 Broadcasting Conference and the GVF MENASAT Summit 2010, providing invaluable knowledge exchange and networking opportunities.
CABSAT MENA and Satellite MENA 2010, will run from 2 -4 March 2010 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The exhibitions are strictly for trade and business only. Visitors under the age of 18 will not be permitted entry.
