Batelco Announces Network Enhancement

Published Mar 7, 2010

Batelco has announced that the Company has commenced a series of network upgrades as part of ongoing efforts to keep its network on par with the highest international standards. The upgrades will take place in different areas around Bahrain between March and August 2010.

The process of upgrades will begin on March 9th in the Ras Bu Jarjoor area, followed by Sitra on March 22nd. The work will take place during the early hours of the morning between 12.30am and 6am in order to minimise the disruption to customers.

The upgrade may cause some minor interruptions to fixed telephone lines and Datacoms Lease Line services during the process. Additionally, Star Dial services (Abbreviated Dialing) may be affected; customers are requested to make sure these services are functioning properly following the upgrade and report any problem to Batelco. In the event of any problem occurring on your Batelco service after the upgrade, please call 121 for telephone line service and Batelco Service Management Centre on 17 80001180 for Datacoms Lease Line services.

Batelco apologises for any inconvenience the upgrade work may cause and appreciates the understanding and cooperation of its customers.
