ADAOX Launches ESET’s Latest Security Solutions In The Middle East

ADAOX Middle East, the regional business development centre of ESET NOD32 Antivirus, announced the availability of ESET’s Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server and ESET Smart Security 4.2 in the Middle East region. The new ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server features major advancements over its predecessor, ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Microsoft Exchange Server.

“We architected this product to be more effective, flexible and scalable than its predecessor. Messaging security is essential to the productivity of businesses everywhere, and ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server enables businesses to implement fast and effective messaging security with minimal overhead,” said Richard Marko, chief technical officer, ESET.

ADAOX also announced the launch of the version 4.2 of ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus in the Middle East. “ESET is continously working on improving its solutions to ensure better performance and stability of its products. We are happy to offer ESET’s new Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server, which will save time and costs for our customers. ESET Smart Security 4.2 and ESET NOD32 4.2 have enhanced features and improved antispam capability, which we are sure our customers in the Middle East will appreciate,” added Neo Neophytou, Managing Director of ADAOX Middle East.

All main modules of ESET Smart Security – Antivirus, Antispyware, Personal Firewall and Antispam – are now improved to ensure better stability and performance of the software. Especially the new version offers full support for Windows Automated Installation Kit 2.0 for Windows 7 and Mozilla Thunderbird 3 e-mail clients. The version 4.2 also features an improved Antispam capability with Trusted Zone Authentication to enhance the security of portable computers and Firewall Profiles, another new feature added. ESET also made improvements to the Encrypted Communication Scanner

-New features of ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server include:

-Improved antivirus and antispyware protection against evolving threats.

- New antispam protection integrates technologies such as RBL, DNSBL, fingerprinting, reputation checking, content analysis, Bayesian filtering, rules, manual whitelisting/blacklisting to ensure maximum detection of email threats.

- Greylisting is available as an additional (optional) layer of antispam protection.

- Transport layer protection increases scalability and performance.

- Improved scanning of email database.

- Flexible message quarantine rules allow many-to-one or one-to-one mapping between recipient email address and quarantine mailbox.

- New Anti-Stealth technology protects against emerging rootkits and Self-Defense prevents malicious software from degrading the effectiveness of protection.

- Intuitive mail server performance monitoring and statistics simplify management.

- ESET SysInspector and ESET SysRescue simplify system diagnosis and recovery.

- New features of ESET Smart Security 4.2:

- Improved antivirus and antispyware protection against evolving threats.

- Improved Personal Firewall, Antispam and Encrypted Communication.

- Some improvements in Settings and GUI for better configuration of the software.

- Full support for Windows Automated Installation Kit 2.0 for Windows 7.

- Trusted Zone Authentication feature added.

- Firewall Profiles feature added.

- Improved http scanner.
