Abu Dhabi’s Largest Western Trade Group To Host Discussions On Key ICT Business Challenges & Opportunities

Published Mar 17, 2010

Business leaders will converge in Abu Dhabi to discuss key opportunities and major challenges faced by local companies, including those involved in information and communications technology (ICT), during the AmCham Business Round Tables Summit taking place on March 17, 2010 at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel on Corniche Road.

AmCham Abu Dhabi, a member of the global network of American Chambers of Commerce and the largest western trade group in the emirate, will organize break-out sessions focusing on 12 key industries covering aviation and ports, education, ICT, real estate, banking and finance, energy, defense, and healthcare, among others. Event sponsor Injazat Data Systems, the leading information technology and business process managed services provider in the UAE and the region, will join discussions on the role of ICT in enhancing Abu Dhabi’s business landscape and how its unique offerings such as the first and only Tier IV design-certified data centre in the Middle East are making Abu Dhabi a leader within the region’s ICT industry.

“Abu Dhabi has been one of the few success stories in the region during the past two years in terms of business growth and industry expansions. The ICT field in particular has evolved into a very influential industry, which is why it occupies a prominent spot among the Summit’s sessions. Injazat sees the AmCham event as an excellent opportunity to share its successful strategies in leveraging prospects related to managed services, data centres and IT innovation,” said Ibrahim Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems.

“We are very pleased that Injazat Data Systems, a Platinum Member of AmCham Abu Dhabi, is sponsoring the Summit and lending its valuable industry expertise in facilitating the IT Round Table Session. Since 2003 our organization has been conducting these important business forums; Injazat’s substantial contributions to the IT field will definitely enhance the scope and quality of this year’s edition,” added John L. Habib, President, AmCham Abu Dhabi.

Injazat is focusing on data services such as those provided by its Tier IV data centre in anticipation of the segment’s growth into a USD 13.82 billion business within the Middle East by 2014. The company will discuss possible improvements in ICT-related local infrastructure, evolving market needs, and potential partnerships among US and local companies during the AmCham summit.

Injazat Data Systems holds more than 50 per cent of the UAE's IT managed services market and has been an active contributor to the growth of Abu Dhabi’s ICT industry. Injazat has emerged as one of the Gulf’s top three ICT service providers since its founding in 2005.
