NTRA Partners With World Bank On IT

The Ministry Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) will activate an IT cooperation between Egypt and the World Bank, according to a press statement.

MCIT Minister Tarek Kamel met with Juan Jose Daboub, managing director of the World Bank, discussed the cooperation as well as how adding video features in mobile phones will enhance the sector.

Amr Badawi, CEO of the National Telecom Regulatory Authority, signed an agreement with the World Bank for cooperation in high-speed internet.

Kamel met IT officials at the White House this week to discuss cyberspace security.

He led a delegation that also included managers of private companies to meet with Melissa Hathaway, acting senior director for cyberspace, and John Burns, director for security.
