Epson Airs New Channel Rebate Programme

Epson has gone live with a new incentive programme that is designed to better reward partners reselling its printing equipment.
The Epson Authorised Reseller Programme has just been announced to partners in Egypt and the UAE, and will be introduced to the Saudi channel during next month's GITEX exhibition in Riyadh.
The initiative classifies partners into four categories and encompasses five product categories: consumer, business, supplies, large format printers and projectors.
"The main aim of this programme is to reward everyone working with Epson and we look forward to strengthening the communication and support to our tier-two partners," said Ahmad Qasem, Epson's recently appointed channel manager for the Middle East.
"Everyone is doing well in marketing and developing the business. I think Epson is one of the least affected by the economic situation and the time has come to reward our business partners in the region," he added.
Dealers will be compensated for the volumes they do, taking into account differences in market size across the region.
"Targets for the UAE and KSA markets vary from US$10,000 for Bronze partners to US$300,000 for Platinum partners, except the supplies category which ends at US$200,000," explained Qasem. "In return, the incentives percentage and structure varies according to partnership category, and goes from 1% up to 8%. This is an aggressive percentage and I think it even exceeds what partners make on the upfront margins."
The programme will give partners access to marketing resources, portals, technical support and sales tools, in addition to discounts on demo units of between 10% and 40%.
Qasem says the programme will be reinforced by the expansion of its local product support network. "We continue to work on increasing service points in the region and we now have our main service centre in Jebel Ali. That serves as a final point of service, offering all the spare parts that are needed," he said.
