E-Vision Embarks On A Green Vision For The Future

Published Apr 6, 2010

Living up to the colour of its logo, and a vision to realize environment friendly practices , E-Vision, a part of Etisalat and the leading cable TV provider in the region, has announced that it will be discontinuing the use of paper invoices from June 2010. In a recent customer notification sent to its subscribers, E-Vision has requested all its customers to switch to the e-mail based invoices that will not only save paper, time and energy, but will also be convenient for the customer to view anytime and anywhere.

E-Vision customers will now be able to view their bills online at www.etisalat.ae and also through their individual email accounts. Customers can call E-Vision customer service at 101 or 800-101 to confirm or update their e-mail addresses and contact details. In case some of our subscribers still prefer printed invoices, they can also do so by confirming the same to E-Vision’s customer service.

Commenting on this initiative, Humaid Sahoo, Chief Executive Officer, E-Vision said, “The entire world now is talking about global warming and perils of exploiting the environment. As a part of our corporate social responsibility, and most importantly, as a leading channel of communication in the UAE, we believe that we can initiate a social change in people’s attitude towards this pertinent subject and encourage them to act in an environment friendly manner. Our commitment towards going green is not just limited to preaching on the subject, we believe in acting on what we preach!”

Besides discontinuing paper invoices, E-Vision, through e-junior, the exclusive UAE kids channel from E-Vision, is also planning to create relevant environment friendly awareness messages to encourage and persuade children in the UAE, to adopt environment friendly practices. In messages themed, “Think Green, Think Life”, “Preserve Water, Preserve Life” and “Say No to Plastic Bags”, E-Vision is targeting kids to create awareness about relevant environmental issues.

“The young generation can bring about the radical change that is required to preserve the environment. And we believe, through e-junior, we can act as catalysts and provide awareness to create an environment friendly value system in them. Hence, we have developed many social messages that will educate our young generation and steer them towards the right direction,” Sahoo added.

E-Vision is the leading regional source to offer over 300 TV channels, in 21 different languages, ranging from sports to movies, from documentaries to music and kid's channels. E-Vision's product lineup includes 15 premium packages from all the major TV providers like OSN, ART, Pehla, Firstnet, TFC, Pinoy Plus and many more, in addition to the E-Vision Basic package.
