Fujitsu Launches New ESPRIMO Mini Pcs

Published Apr 6, 2010

Fujitsu has announced the availability of two new PC models in the ESPRIMO family; the tiny but perfectly formed ESPRIMO Q9000 and ESPRIMO Q1510. Small but powerful, the new additions are the only fully-equipped mini PCs of their size and feature all-new 2010 Intel® Core processors. The mini PCs are also the most power-efficient and near silent in operation, making them popular in either an office or home setting and providing an efficient gateway into Fujitsu’s dynamic infrastructures offering.

“The new ESPRIMO Q series models reiterate that great things come in small packages,” said Chandan Mehta, product manager, Fujitsu Technology Solutions. “The ESPRIMO Q9000 is designed for users who want a fully equipped Desktop PC combined with low energy consumption and a small form factor. We’ve created these tiny new ESPRIMO PC family models to meet increasing demand for eco-friendly PCs, particularly in the small office and home office space. Although the ESPRIMO Q series models are tiny, almost silent in operation and their power consumption is minimal, they still pack a considerable performance punch.”

The ESPRIMO Q9000 fulfills all the requirements of a full-fledged PC, thanks to the latest Intel Mobile Technology and Microsoft Windows 7® Professional operating system. The size of a CD case (only 165 x168 x57 mm) with a volume of 1.6 liters, the ESPRIMO Q9000 mini PC saves desk space, while Intel® vPro™ technology and DeskView manageability provide effective system management. The ESPRIMO Q9000 includes all the practical connections such as HDMI, DVI and eSATA. In addition, the all-new 2010 Intel Core processor technology adds performance and efficiency, with power consumption from Intel® Core™ i5 processor running at only 19 Watts in idle mode, as well as extended energy management settings.

Despite its tiny dimensions, the ESPRIMO Q1510 really packs a punch when it comes to doubling as a living room entertainment system or office PC. The new ESPRIMO Q1510 replaces the ESPRIMO Q1500, with a range of benefits within its small and elegant case. It includes remote control, optional Blu-ray drive, full HDMI support and Microsoft Windows 7® Home Premium. The all-new 2010 Intel Core processor technology allows increased performance at constantly low energy consumption and very quiet operation, another benefit if used as a living room PC. WLAN can also be included to connect it with the home server for listening to music, showing holiday pictures on the TV and so on, and has a 6-in-1 card reader to download pictures from the camera, for example. In addition, users can personalize the system with custom color skins.

Both ESPRIMO mini PCs have up to 500 GB hard disks with 4 GB of RAM, and include 6 USB ports, optional WLAN and bluetooth.

The Fujitsu ESPRIMO Q9000 and ESPRIMO Q1510 are available through the channel as well as retailers across the Middle East.
