Amandla Forum, the first leading communications and knowledge-sharing forum in Jordan, will be held at the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar, Dead Sea on May 4th to 6th 2010.
With a vision of developing and empowering communities, the Forum has assembled world renowned speakers, many who have never spoken in the Middle East before, to deliver inspiring speeches. The speakers include Thomas Gensemer from Blue-State Digital, the company that organized Obama's online presidential campaign; Bill Orme, an international expert in media and strategic communications; Paula Scher, one of the world's best creative designers, whose work is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. In areas such as Graphic Design, New Media, Branding, Public Relations, and Online Strategy, the speakers will not only share their latest knowledge and ideas, but will provide practical, hands-ontraining that can be applied to transform any organization, company or community.
Being genuinely committed to the idea that knowledge and training in communication can empower communities, the cost was slashed for participants by over 100% to comparable training forums.A contest will also be sponsoredfor students of communication and creative design to allow 10 lucky winners a free pass. "With over 15 speakers and trainers, 350 projected participants from across the region, covering all communication sectors, the Forum offers a golden opportunity for networking and note-sharing with other professionals from the region and around the world," said Ehab Shanti, the President of the Forum. "The ultimate aim is to develop a sense of community that allows this important albeit embryonic profession to develop and compete on a global stage," he added.
