Published Apr 11, 2010

From its traditional networked storage routes the leading IT industry association SNIA has evolved to cover almost all aspects of data management in the data center and beyond. A key element of the association’s activities is their ‘Academy’ program, originally launched in 2005 and now entering its sixth year. The SNIA Datacenter Technologies Academy program is a series of comprehensive, one-day seminars designed to provide storage professionals with educational content on key technologies and solutions.

The Academy visits London in 2010 taking place on Tuesday, 18th May in America Square Conference Center, London registration is already open online at:

Make sure you quote D5L10 for free entry!

“With so many events out there to chose from, it is important to select the ones that are going to give you a return on investment of your time. The Academy certainly does that. The agenda was full of topics that are at the top of our priority list such as server virtualisation and cloud computing and I’m pleased to see SNIA working to bring clarity and standardisation into these areas. I’m looking forward to seeing more in the future.” Vicente Marco, Technical Architect, T-Systems Ltd.

Each Academy agenda delivers a unique blend of vendor-neutral content delivered by members of the SNIA alongside presentations from many of the leading vendors in the datacenter technologies market.

The London program includes sessions on:

- Cloud storage, including security.

- Data protection.

- FCoE.

- Enterprise-level solid state storage.

- Ethernet storage.

- Storage considerations for virtual servers.

Sponsors of the London Academy include 3PAR, DELL, HP and NetApp with more sponsors to be announced very soon.
