Kaspersky Lab Launches Dedicated Integrated Internet Protection Solution For Home Users And Networks Into Middle East

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, has launched into the Middle East a new class of products providing an integrated solution specifically designed to protect home stand alone and networked computers.

Kaspersky PURE combines complete protection against all types of web-borne threats with new, advanced features including extended parental control features, data backup and encryption tools, a password management programme and the ability to manage entire home networks or fine tune security settings of web browser and operating system from any computer on the network.

Featuring all features of the vendor's existing Kaspersky Anti Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security products, Kaspersky PURE also offers state-of-the-art 'sandbox' technologies that run suspect applications in a secure virtual environment, proactive detection of unknown threats, application control and restrictions on the level of access that suspicious products have to password, logins, personal information and operating system settings.

Two additional functions give Kaspersky PURE a definitive edge over other existing home network products; Back Up provides automatic backup scheduling, customizable backup version depth, online backup to network drives and password protection technologies reinforcing backup safety. And Control Centre helps secure and monitor home networks and checks Wi-Fi network security whilst allowing security tasks to be rolled out from one PC.

Kaspersky PURE also acts as a deterrent against physically lost or stolen USBs or hard disc destruction due to electricity black outs. The product's automated scheduled back up function protects the entire data or selected files and its encryption feature renders advanced data recovery techniques obsolete.

"In today's digital world, confidential data is increasingly stored in digital format and web-based shopping and banking services are fast gaining ground in the Middle East. These services, as they develop, become attractive targets for malicious attacks and cause the already vast array of cyberthtreats to grow daily.

Consumers segment is the major part of Kaspersky Lab business. In 2009 the Company demonstrated significant growth in the segment globally, the revenue growth rate was 55% compared to the similar period of 2008.
