The market for multifunction centres (MFCs) in EMEA is poised for a 12. 2 per cent growth by 2013, according to the latest IDC research - a growth projection that underlines the need for new technologies for colour laser multifunction peripherals and printer devices. Eyeing the potential in the region, Brother Gulf, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of printing, communication and digital imaging products for homes, SOHOs and enterprises, in partnership with local partner Al Maktaba Stores, is showcasing its latest top-of-the-line products at ‘GITEX Saudi Arabia 2010’, which is currently on its fourth day at the Riyadh International Exhibition Center (RIEC).
Among the latest additions to Brother’s product line-up, which made their debut at the show are HL-3040CN and HL-3070CW models from the HL-3000 Series of compact business colour printers, and DCP-9010CN, MFC-9120CN and MFC-9320CW from the 9000 All-in-One Series. Offering up to 600x2400 dpi resolution, the new models under the HL-3000 Series Printer and 9000 All-in-One Series have adjustable, 250-sheet paper capacity; Ethernet and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interfaces and two-piece toner/drum set. As far as individual key features are concerned, the HL-3070CW model features a built-in wireless network interface, USB direct interface and PCL6 and BR-Script3 emulations; while the MFC-9120CN has a Super G3 fax function.
“The MFC segment in Saudi Arabia and the rest of the region holds positive growth potential due to its strong retail market and the growing consumer awareness of the efficiency and advantages of utilising an MFC rather than a single function printer,” said Shinji Tada, Managing Director, Brother Gulf. “With the launch of our new compact business colour range, we are expecting further growth in the MFP market especially in the colour laser category, and are continually focusing on developing new designs and technologies for this market. As the second largest supplier of colour laser MFCs in KSA, our participation in ‘GITEX KSA’ is aimed at widening our market share by introducing more state-of-the-art products to the local market.”
Working closely with Al Maktaba Co. Ltd., whom it has awarded the ‘Bronze Partner for Sales & Marketing in the Region’, Brother aims to further penetrate the Saudi Arabia market through its participation at the event. Opening new opportunities for people to experience and learn about the latest in technological advancements, GITEX serves as a platform to introduce the latest innovations in consumer electronics and other technologically-advanced gadgets to visitors and deal makers from all over the world. This year, the show concurrently hosts ‘Saudi Communications’, the 12th International Telecommunications Exhibition, which has attracted world’s leading telecommunications firms.
“The ‘GITEX’ event is the meeting point where most industry partners come and thrive on new information, and has served as the perfect launch pad for the latest innovations from market leaders such as Brother. Our participation at this year’s event is aimed at gaining extensive exposure for the latest product releases from Brother and maximising the attendance of local as well as international customers looking for the newest offerings in printing and MFC technology,” concluded Eng. Abdullah Al Mosa, Managing Director, Al Maktaba Stores.
