Published May 3, 2010

Mubasher, the one of the leading stock brokerage houses in the Middle East and the number one stock broker in the UAE, has announced that it has recently been adjudged the Best Online Trading Platform at the Banker Middle East Product Awards 2010 held at the Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai. Mubasher's latest distinction manifests the strong confidence of traders in Mubasher's portfolio of products and services and validates the company's effective strategy in addressing the evolving requirements of its customers in the Middle East.

One of the most distinguished awards-giving bodies in the financial industry, the Banker Middle East Product Awards recognises financial products and services in the Middle East that are either exceptionally innovative or have generated excellent financial results and transference of market share. The award for Mubasher recognises the company for establishing new benchmarks in the delivery of technology-based financial services that have helped customers overcome unprecedented challenges in the financial sector. The Award also recognizes the company’s strong performance in the UAE markets after leading the UAE brokers as the number one broker in DFM and ADX markets combined.

Abdallah Agha, Head of Sales and Marketing, Mubasher DBFS, said: "Mubasher remains strongly committed to providing a value proposition that ultimately delivers the desired results for our customers. The recent distinction from the Banker Middle East Product Awards 2010 reaffirms the success of our innovative trading platforms and strengthens our reputation as a customer-oriented and quality-focused broker.”

Mubasher DBFS had also announced its plans to launch alternative trading platforms during the third quarter of the year, which include platforms supporting the iPhone and Blackberry devices, in addition to its existing support for Symbian and Windows-based smartphones.

“iPhones and Blackberry’s have penetrated the regional markets aggressively,” added Agha, “this shows a strong need for us to support our traders with their quest for mobility and their need to always stay connected to the financial markets. We look forward to further innovation in our products and for more awards in the future.”

Mubasher DBFS is a subsidiary of “Mubasher Financial Group” that offers direct market access (DMA) to Middle Eastern and leading International stock markets through a single trading hub. The company supports both electronic and manual Straight-Through-Processing order execution on multiple markets including GCC, Northern Levant countries, South East Asian Markets, and US markets. The company pioneered online trading in the UAE and has established itself as the broker that meets the needs of all types of traders, through a multitude of trading platforms, dealer assisted order placing, research, and a dedicated relationship manager.
