NTI and TFO FTTH Launch Event

Published Nov 17, 2008
Cairo, Egypt - Network and Technology Information (NTI), a leading network distribution company along with their esteemed partner Technology Fiber Optic (TFO) held a launch event to introduce its new fiber to the home technology (FTTH). The event took place at the Intercontinental City Stars in Cairo and was attended by Egypt’s leading system integrators and network solutions companies.

The event marks the first time in Egypt that FTTH technology was introduced in a substantial way and will be available soon to customers for implementation.

“We’re very pleased that we’re able to further our reputation for distributing innovative technologies and be the first in Egypt to offer FTTH technology to our customers,” said NTI’s General Manager Mr. Mohamed Hafez.

“FTTH technology has great potential here in Egypt due to its scalability for future Internet applications and cost efficiency. Already it’s being widely deployed in Europe and Asia and fast becoming the standard over other connectivity options,” Hafez added.

The event also was a chance for attendees to interact with a highly regarded expert in the field of FTTH deployment to better understand the technology and deployment issues. FTTH technology, its technical specifications and advantages over other connectivity options was presented at the event by Dr. Carlos Bock of TFO. Dr. Bock is the technical manager for TFO and has consulted on several FTTH deployments in Europe.
