AMD Names New Managing Director For Middle East, Turkey & Africa

AMD announced the appointment of Bernard Biolchini, 46, to vice president sales and general manager for Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region. Based in Dubai, Biolchini will be responsible for driving revenue growth and enhancing business opportunities in the region by managing all regional sales and marketing activities. He reports to Alberto Bozzo, corporate vice president and general manager EMEA.

"Bernard comes to AMD with a successful track record of delivering outstanding results. His strong business development experience will help AMD meet our ambitious business goals for the region" said Alberto Bozzo, AMD corporate vice president and general manager EMEA.

Immediately prior to joining AMD, Biolchini served as president and managing director of INVENSYS Controls EMEA, a business group of Invensys Plc a FSTE 100 global technology and controls group in industrial automation, transportation and controls businesses. Prior to Invensys, Biolchini spent fifteen years at HP in various senior positions leading marketing, sales and channel activities at the EMEA level.

Fluent in English, Arabic, French and Italian, Biolchini holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Institut Universitaire de Technologie, Aix en Provence (France) and a Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration.
