Injazat Data Systems Welcomes 11 New Certified ITIL Service Managers

Published May 9, 2010

Injazat Data Systems, the leading Information Technology and Business Process Managed Services Provider in the UAE and the Middle East, has announced that 11 more of its staff, including a UAE National, have been certified under the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Managers Program. This brings Injazat’s total number of certified managers who have completed this program to 28 and gives it the distinction of being the company with the highest number of Certified ITIL Service Managers in the region (currently 32).

The latest program was delivered to Injazat employees from January to March 2010 by The Injazat Institute (Ti2), Injazat’s professional development initiative. Over the past two years Injazat has welcomed 28 Certified ITIL Service Managers, six of whom are UAE Nationals, at a success rate of 66 per cent as part of the internal strategic ITIL Training Program (this figure exceeds the global average of 45 percent). In addition one of the candidates gained scores above 65 per cent for both written exams and gained the first distinction.

“The latest ITIL program was a resounding success in terms of the number of passing examinees and the level of scores for both the Service Delivery and Service Support exams. This is a testament to Injazat’s firm commitment to the professional growth of its personnel and serves as an assurance to our customers that they are being served by highly-skilled Subject Matter Experts. We are also pleased that another UAE National has joined our team of Certified ITIL Service Managers as this reinforces our Emiratization goals. We would like to thank QAI Managing Director, P J Corum and his team, for their contribution in the Injazat’s customized ITIL program in association with Ti2,” said Adam Ali, Head of Service Assurance, Injazat Data Systems.

ITIL is a set of concepts and standards for managing IT Services, IT Development, and IT Operations. The ITIL Service Managers Program teaches and certifies trainees to a high standard to apply, manage, and analyze the ITIL processes of their respective organizations. Ti2 developed Injazat’s internal certification program in partnership with QAI, a Dubai Internet City development and consulting organization with the goal to assist their clients to achieve IT Governance and resilience through a continuous process improvement and innovation or in a managed outsource environment. Since 2008 Ti2 has delivered 4 very successful ITIL Service Managers Programs for Injazat staff through their partnership with QAI.

Injazat Data Systems owns and operates the Middle East’s first Tier IV design-certified data centre. It holds more than 50 per cent of the UAE's IT Managed Services market. Injazat launched The Injazat Institute (Ti2) in 2007 as a business-oriented professional development partner for providing a large scope of training and development services, professional development and Nationalization programs. Ti2 provides world-class leadership and management solutions spanning the complete training cycle, from the identification of training needs through employee certification. Injazat currently employs 120 Emirates; all have Career Development Plans (CDPs) linked to their current and future roles. In 2009 Ti2 delivered 13,600 hours of professional training for Injazat’s UAE Nationals as part of its comprehensive Emiratisation program. Ti2 also focused on delivering internationally recognized certification programs for its staff in areas such as PMP, Leadership, CISCO, HP, Microsoft, Oracle and ITIL. Aside from maximizing the potential of professionals, Injazat and Ti2 also plans to partner with more educational institutions to identify and develop young Emirate talent.
