Seven Additions To Xerox Black & White Portfolio Deliver Enhanced Printing, Workflow, Security Features

Published May 13, 2010

Seven new black-and-white multifunction printers (MFPs) from Xerox Corporation handle everything from general office documents to high-volume print jobs with several features that help keep business information secure.

Xerox is updating its line of black-and-white MFPs – and adding a bit of color – with the WorkCentre 5700 Series. With print speeds up to 90 ppm, the MFPs can:

- Print, copy, scan or fax without interruption for quick turnarounds.

- Scan documents in color.

- Move to the next job if the first job in queue is held up due to a lack of resources with the Print Around feature.

The WorkCentre 5700 Series comes equipped with advanced security features, including full support for the IPv6 network security standard, Image Overwrite to electronically “shred” data; fax isolation to prevent unauthorized access to data; and Network Authentication to restrict access to scan, e-mail and network fax features.

“With a robust standard configuration and a variety of optional features, the new Xerox WorkCentre 5700 Series helps companies of all sizes increase productivity, reduce costs, and secure critical business information,” Dan Smith, General Manager for Integrated Marketing, Xerox, MEA (DMO), “Xerox is again meeting the real challenges faced by businesses now.”

The WorkCentre 5700 Series is built on Xerox’s Extensible Interface Platform® (EIP), a technology that can be used to create customized workflow applications.

For four consecutive years Xerox has been recognized by J.D. Power and Associates for providing “An Outstanding Customer Service Experience” in Technology Service and Support. All of the devices are ENERGY STAR® qualified.
