For the third time in four years, Fleishman-Hillard International Communications has been named “Best Multinational Agency to Work For” by the influential industry publication, The Holmes Report.
In announcing the selection, The Holmes Report noted that Fleishman-Hillard received consistently high marks on its industry-wide employee survey that serves as the basis for the ranking and that the firm significantly outperformed other large agencies in three critical areas: professional development, values and compensation.
“We have long known that the key to attracting and retaining the best professionals in the business is to provide the best workplace environment in the business,” said Dave Senay, the firm’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “This recognition is a terrific validation that our leadership team throughout our global network is following through on our commitment to be a place where talented professionals come to have ‘The Best Career Experience of Their Lives.’”
The Holmes Report had particular praise for the firm’s wide range of professional development initiatives, from the Digital Academy program, which offers practical techniques for incorporating digital strategies into client work, to Learning Lab webinars that build employees’ knowledge across a variety of topics and disciplines, from writing self-evaluations to pursuing and winning new business. Meanwhile, the firm builds the capabilities of its mid-level and senior managers through its Management Academy and Leadership Institute for Managers, as well as through participation in Omnicom University, a one-week intensive course designed to build senior leadership skills. “Each of these programs enhances our employees’ ability to deliver value to our clients,” added Senay.
“As we continue our expansion across the Middle East region, we are committed to being the employer of choice for our industry by offering the best career experience,” said Annalise Coady, Managing Director and Senior Partner, Fleishman-Hillard Middle East.
“By offering top-notch training and development programs for our employees, along with competitive pay and benefits, flexible work-life balance options, and the best technology tools available, we ensure that we attract and retain the best people in the business. Our employees know that Fleishman-Hillard will help them develop their talents and skills so that they can build great careers with us.”
Fleishman-Hillard was also cited for its strong culture and values, including its commitment to corporate responsibility. In particular, The Holmes Report cited the generous philanthropic response of the firm and its employees to such causes as Haiti earthquake relief; millions of dollars annually in pro bono work for a variety of causes, including UNICEF’s clean tap water initiative; and a variety of activities aimed at making the agency’s operations more sustainable.
This honor is the latest in a string of awards and distinctions the firm has earned this year. In March, for example, Fleishman-Hillard was the only communications agency to be named one of the “Top 50 Companies for Executive Women” by the US National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). This list highlights organizations whose policies and practices encourage the advancement of women’s careers and includes such leading brands as AT&T, Merck and Procter & Gamble. And in February, the firm was named “European Consultancy of the Year” in The Holmes Report’s annual Agency Report Card covering the EMEA region.
