Virus Bulletin Test: ESET NOD32 Antivirus Uses Minimum System Resources

Published Jun 10, 2010

ADAOX Middle East, the regional business development center of ESET NOD32 Antivirus, announced that ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.2 was tested by Virus Bulletin (VB) to demonstrate its reliability in protecting businesses and being a reliable partner for IT administrators across a range of corporate environments.

Approximately one-third of all the products submitted for testing failed and hence could not even compete to receive a VB100 recognition. According to John Hawes, Director of testing at VB, such unreliability is particularly significant on server platforms, where administrators require absolute trustworthiness and total trackability of all activities.

ESET NOD32 Antivirus demonstrated conclusively that it is not only a reliable product but it also scores well in terms of the lowest memory usage. John Hawes commented on the results: "... memory usage was fairly low. Detections rates were excellent, showing a continuation of the upward trend seen in the last few tests.”

The 4.2 version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition, as well as ESET Smart Security Business Edition have been available since March 2010. Both deliver a balanced mix of security features that help protect mid-size as well as large organisations against all types of malware reliably and effectively. To add to this, the integrated ESET Remote Administrator tool also provides for simple administration and security oversight of endpoints in a corporate environment all from a single console.

“ESET is by far one of the best security products available in the market. Our customers are happy and satisfied with ESET as it is not only easy to use but it also offers proactive protection from the most malicious threats, viruses, worms, bots and malware and that too very quickly. We are happy ESET has won the VB recognition once again and are proud to be associated with them,” says Neo Neophytou, Managing Director at ADAOX Middle East.
