Published Jun 10, 2010

Pradeep Sindhu, vice chairman, CTO and founder of Juniper Networks, received the Morgan Stanley Leadership Award for Global Commerce at IDG's Computerworld Honors Program's 22nd Annual Laureates Medal Ceremony & Gala Awards Evening, held this week at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. For over two decades, Computerworld Honors has acknowledged those individuals and organizations that have used information technology to benefit society.

"The Morgan Stanley Leadership Award for Global Commerce recognizes individuals whose personal leadership has made a critical contribution to the effective use of IT in the positive exchange of value for value throughout the world," said David Reilly, CIO of Enterprise Infrastructure, Morgan Stanley. "Pradeep exemplifies the professional and technical leadership that our award stands for. He has built a company that is at the forefront of innovation and technology and assembled a truly world-class team."

“I am deeply honored to receive the Morgan Stanley Leadership Award for Global Commerce,” said Pradeep Sindhu. “I founded Juniper Networks on the idea of connecting everything and empowering everyone, and our team is constantly working to deliver the promise of a connected world. This award is a testament to Juniper’s achievements and excellence in engineering and technical innovation.”

The Computerworld Honors Program unites chairmen and CEOs of the world's foremost information technology companies to recognize the most outstanding user achievements in technology each year. Members of the Chairmen's Committee, a group of 100 chairmen/CEOs of global technology companies, nominate individuals and organizations around the world whose visionary applications of information technology promote positive social and economic progress.

The nominations are evaluated by an independent board of C-level judges who select laureates, finalists, and award recipients. The technology achievements honored by this program are preserved and protected in national archives and in over 350 universities, museums, and research institutions throughout the world.
