Winning Doodle 4 Google – I Love Football Goes Live On June 14th!

Aniruddh. S. Menon, aged 17, from the Millennium School Dubai, will see his ‘Somebody Start a WAVE!’, ‘I love football - Doodle 4 Google’ go live across Google MENA domains on June 14th. As the winner of the regional phase of the competition he receives a digital drawing board to assist with future creative pursuits, in addition to automatically entering the global phase of the competition, competing against 17 other nations.
In total over 50,000 votes were received from across the region, resulting in Menon being crowned MENA's Doodle 4 Google "I Love Football" Champion . Commenting on his achievement Anirduddh stated: “This was a really exciting competition and I am thrilled that the public voted for me. I will definitely tell my friends to visit the google.ae domain tomorrow and can’t wait to see the results of the international competition!”
MENA users can show their support for Anirudd in the next phase of the competition by logging on to http://www.google.ae/lovefootball between June 21st to June 28th and placing their vote. The winning doodle from the global contest will go live on July 11th across the Google homepages of the 17 participating countries. The winner will also receive four tickets to an expense paid holiday to South Africa.

They encourage the public to think of creative ways to contribute to the online community, whilst at the same time being fun.
