HP Middle East Launches Long-Awaited New Deskjet Printer

Published Jun 17, 2010

HP Middle East announced the launch of a new Deskjet printing system that offers customers a high-quality, reliable printing experience with low printer and cartridge prices and with a reduced environmental footprint for growing segment of small and medium size businesses in the country.

The new system combines Deskjet printers with new ink cartridges at an attractive price. The results are laser-quality text documents and vivid colour images at a price point that suits customers who prioritise cost.

"HP appreciates that the current economic situation has left our customers more cost-conscious. The HP 122 ink cartridges work as part of a holistic printing system that is intended to help customers save money and reduce their impact on the environment. HP has re-designed its Deskjet printers to support these new cartridges, offering customers greater choice without compromising on quality," said Amin Mortazavi, General Manager IPG, HP Middle East.

With the new HP All-in-One Deskjet 2050, SMBs now can scan, print and copy - all the features needed for every day printing needs - with fraction of cost of normal printers. The new printer is simple to set up with improved software for quick installation, which also takes up less space on users' hard drives.

HP Middle East has redesigned the new Deskjet 2050 and its unique HP 122 ink cartridges with the environment in mind.

The HP All-in-One Deskjet 2050 uses half the energy of its predecessor in active mode and has Energy Star certification. The printer is shipped in a reusable bag, which customers can use for shopping after they have unpacked their printer. The bag also makes it easier to take the printer from its box. The packaging is made from 99% recyclable or reusable materials.
