Nawras Launches Environmentally Friendly Recharge Solution With Said Al Shamsi

Published Jun 27, 2010

Nawras, a Qtel Group company is ‘first’ again with the launch of a convenient, new mobile credit solution which is being offered to customers in a pleasingly different way by Nawras premium distributor Said Al Shamsi. The new system not only provides another environmentally friendly alternative to plastic recharge cards and is easy to find, but importantly also offers new tertiary employment opportunities to university students, for example.

Rather than using a fixed terminal, the new recharge option simply involves a direct transfer of credit from the dealer’s mobile phone to the Nawras Mousbak customer, making this the easiest and most flexible way to recharge a prepaid mobile account.

Working with Said Al Shamsi and using the new system, Nawras is able to electronically, wirelessly and securely replenish its prepaid customers accounts in real-time without the use of plastic cards, in its latest step towards a paperless recharge solution.

“This is great news for Nawras Mousbak customers because now they can enjoy a more convenient recharge option where their prepaid account is directly recharged from the dealer’s own mobile phone,” explained Abdul Aziz Al Hinai, department head, indirect channel. He added, “Better still, customers can be anywhere in the country to take advantage of this service and they can choose the exact credit amount that they would like.”

Said Al Shamsi is now able to provide a solution that reaches a wider network of dealers than the existing fixed credit recharge terminals, thanks to the mobility of this credit channel. Greater flexibility also opens up the possibility of more people becoming involved in the distribution of credit including students at university, for example, who can buy and sell credit, keeping a profit margin for themselves.

Nawras is an award-winning communications provider operating an extensive distribution network in Oman to serve customers with great value and excellent quality, wherever they might live, work or travel.

Making it more convenient for customers to buy is in line with Nawras’ commitment to enhance people’s daily lives by making mobile communication easier, more versatile and always a rewarding experience.
